Christ Covenant Church Renovation

Christ Covenant Church Renovation

At CDI, we are proud to announce our pivotal role in the remodel and expansion of Christ Covenant Church in Houston, Texas. With our comprehensive expertise in architecture, civil engineering, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and plumbing design, we spearheaded this ambitious project aimed at enhancing the church's facilities.

Our architecture firm was responsible for the design and implementation of the electrical components for the Prairie Street Mixed-Use Apartments, a renovation project on a three-story structure built around 1895.

The building features a Romanesque Revival building facade and is located near the intersection of Prairie Street and Main Street in the city's central business district. The building is classified as Class E and has a total floor area of 13,500 square feet.

Powering Progress: Enhancing Safety and Efficiency

Spanning 28,000 square feet, our team meticulously crafted every detail to seamlessly blend functionality with aesthetic appeal, creating an uplifting environment for worship, fellowship, and outreach.

This project exemplifies our unwavering commitment to excellence in architectural design and engineering, underscoring our dedication to supporting and enriching places of worship for present and future generations.

The electrical design included a new electrical service, lighting, and fire alarm systems. The new electrical service was designed to provide reliable power to the building's new and existing electrical loads. The lighting system was designed to provide a comfortable and energy-efficient environment for the building's occupants.

The fire alarm system was designed to provide early warning of fire and smoke conditions in the building. The electrical work was completed in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. The project was a success and the new Prairie Street Mixed-Use Apartments are now a vibrant and energy-efficient addition to the city's downtown area.
